On the 29th January, the children were lucky to receive a visit from our local Fire Brigade from Campbelltown fire station. They discussed many important key messages, such as what to do in the case of a fire and what number to call, they also explained the steps of STOP, DROP, and ROLL and why we do this. The firemen showed the children a demonstration of a smoke alarm and explained why we have them. In addition, they also discussed with the children the signs and dangers of finding a snake and what they should in this situation. After all of the learning and interest in the different things the firemen can do, the children were able to go outside, see the fire truck and take turns at the fire hose, see the flashing lights and hear the sirens as they left.
